My work explores the tension between familiar intimacy and femininity, creating a visual dialogue that moves between tenderness, desire, and social commentary. I often work with a combination of synthetic and organic materials, subtly transforming everyday objects by imbuing them with symbolic charge. Through this process, they become vessels for personal expression and reflections on queerness and cultural narratives.

In my oil paintings, I blur the boundaries between reality and imagination. This often takes shape through layered, vibrant colors, intentional distortion, and exaggeration. These formal decisions allow me to disrupt conventions of representation and explore more fluid ways of constructing identity.

 

Pop-cultural references, personal photography, and my lived experience as a lesbian woman in a male-centered society inform my visual language. I am interested in how the personal intersects with the political, and how intimacy and identity are shaped in both private and public spaces.

My practice holds space for contradiction, vulnerability, and transformation. Each work becomes a site of negotiation between selfhood and society, fantasy and form, distance and closeness.
